SAMA AGM
2026 Annual General Meeting
Notice has been given that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of SA Masters Athletics Inc. (SAMA) will be held as follows:
Saturday 20th June 2026
at 6.00pm (prior to the SAMA Awards Dinner)
at the Kensington Hotel (Kensi), 23 Regent St, Kensington SA 5068.
All correspondence concerning the AGM should be directed to the Secretary.

Financial members unable to attend the AGM may nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf using the form below, which must be returned to the Secretary prior to the meeting.

Call for Nominations
Elections will take place for Committee positions, including some of the Office Bearers (see below). There are also a number of Ex-Officio (non-Committee) positions that need to be filled. This provides opportunities for members with ideas and a willingness to give something back to the club.
The Committee, all of whom must be financial members of SAMA, consists of:
(a) The President
(b) The Vice-President
(c) The Secretary
(d) The Treasurer
(f) The Registrar
(e) And other members to make a maximum of 11 on the Committee.
The Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting and subject to Clause 8.2 of the Constitution, each elected member shall normally hold office for two years. The election of the following Committee members shall be staggered, with the President and Treasurer being elected at even year AGMs and with the Vice President, Secretary and Registrar at the odd year AGMs. Additional Committee members shall be elected as needed.
All Committee positions will be declared vacant at the 2026 AGM except for Vice President, Secretary and Registrar whose positions carry over for another year.
Elections are required for:
- President
- Treasurer
- Up to six Committee Members
Nominations for all positions should be sent to the Secretary by 7 days prior to the AGM, using the Nomination Form below. Nominations will also be received at the AGM if positions remain unfilled.
Note: There are additional positions and roles listed on the Nomination Form which can be filled either by the new committee members or by other SAMA members who do not need to join the committee (ie. Ex-officio positions).
