Masters Athletics
SA Masters Athletics (SAMA) caters for men and women athletes aged 30 years and above. The main aim of the Club is to provide an ongoing competition program for mature age athletes in South Australia for people of all athletic abilities.
You will find a varied program of Running, Walking and Field events conducted throughout most of the year. Some events are handicapped which encourages athletes of all abilities. Everyone is welcome to come and try.

Our editor Ann Jefferies has produced another great issue, containing everything you need to know about what’s happening in the Club and in Masters Athletics. Its full of interesting news, articles, results, coming events and other useful information.
This issue includes results and photos from the Oceania Masters Athletics Championships recently held in Darwin, the outcomes from the SAMA AGM / Awards Night, results from the AMA Winter Throws Championships in Hobart, and the results so far from the SAMA 2026 Winter Season.
2025-26 SAMA Athletics Award Winners
The 2026 SAMA Awards Night was held at the Kensington Hotel, on Saturday 20 June 2026.
During the Awards Night, the winners of the 2025-26 SAMA Athletics Awards were announced and presented with their trophies.
SAMA 2026/27 Committee
Following the Annual General Meeting held on 20 June 2026, the SAMA Committee was elected for the 2026/27 year, headed by Viddy Jermacans as President for another term. Their full details can be found on the Contact Page of the SAMA website.
