Masters Athletics
SA Masters Athletics (SAMA) caters for men and women athletes aged 30 years and above. The main aim of the Club is to provide an ongoing competition program for mature age athletes in South Australia for people of all athletic abilities.
You will find a varied program of Running, Walking and Field events conducted throughout most of the year. Some events are handicapped which encourages athletes of all abilities. Everyone is welcome to come and try.

2024/25 Summer Program Update
STOP PRESS: Week 18 of summer competition at SA Athletics Stadium has been cancelled due to extreme hot weather.
Since the maximum temperature on Wednesday 12 February is predicted to be well over 40 degrees, the Committee has decided that SAMA Competition will be CANCELLED.

SAMA History Update
George White has again updated the history of the club in his publication “AGE IS AN ADVANTAGE: A History of Veterans/Masters Athletics In South Australia” taking the narrative up to January 2025, to include additional entries for new Hall of Fame inductees, Life Member and Magnificent Masters, and to update information and data up to the end of 2024.
There are two versions available for download – one at 9MB or a more compressed version at 5MB. Should anyone find anything significant missing, or find errors – please advise George. See the SAMA History section to download it as a PDF.
