World Masters Athletics Marathon Championships 2024 – Bucharest, Romania
To be held October 13, 2024.
WMA officially announces that the WMA Marathon returns after a long wait. For the 2024 version, WMA Council has granted the event to the city of Bucharest, Romania and it will take place on date 13 October 2024. The WMA race will be an important part of the traditional Bucharest Marathon.
This is of major importance since it will be the first time Romania hosts a WMA Championship of any kind.

All entries are subject to validation by each athlete’s respective Member (AMA for Australian athletes). Members will confirm the athlete’s date of birth, citizenship and/or residential qualifications and other relevant requirements. After an athlete’s registration has been validated, its status will display as “accepted” on the list of entries online. Validation is a manual process that each Member completes, so there will be some time (days or weeks) between when you submit your registration and when it is validated.
NB. If an athlete requires a travel visa, it’s important to complete the validation process sooner rather than later, because the LOC will only issue invitation letters to athletes whose registrations have been marked as “accepted” by their Member country.
