South Australian Masters Athletics has again been invited by the South Australian Athletic League to stage a distance handicapped 800m on Saturday 27 December 2025 as part of the Supreme Quilts Bay Sheffield Carnival at Colley Reserve, Glenelg, which runs from 27-28 December 2022.

The Exurbia SA Masters 800m handicap race will again feature on the Saturday at 7.00pm. The presentations will follow the race.

Fellow members, family and friends are encouraged to come and watch and to cheer on the runners, and to mix and mingle with the stars of the track before and after the race. Look for the colourful SAMA marquee located at the northern end of the Reserve, on its eastern (Colley Terrace) side.

This SAMA event is coordinated by Viddy Jermacans, and this year will be distance-handicapped by a panel of three.

Participation is restricted to financial members of SA Masters Athletics. Racing colours will be provided to runners prior to the race. It is suggested that runners wear their SAMA singlets also.

The SAMA event at the Bay Sheffield is sponsored by Exurbia, which provides Prize vouchers for the first three placegetters, and a token voucher for each unplaced finisher.
SAAL will also provide a sash for the winner.
