DESCRIPTION:AMA Championships 2027 – April 23-26 – hosted by Masters Athletics WA\nMAWA will host the Australian Masters Athletics National Track and Field Championship in Perth in 2027. \nAthletes from across Australia and beyond will converge on Perth in 2027 for an unforgettable celebration of masters athletics. Whether you’re chasing a podium finish\, a personal best\, or simply the thrill of competition\, now is the time to start preparing. \nRegistrations open later in 2026 with all the details you need to secure your place at this premier event published right here. Keep training\, mark your calendar\, and make sure you check back soon so you don’t miss out. \nPerth 2027 is coming – are you ready? \nFor further information keep an eye on the Championships website at https://perth2027.com.au/ \nA MESSAGE FOR ALL POLE VAULTERS  \nRegretably\, we must inform all registered masters athletes that the Pole Vault event will unfortunately not be available at the 2027 AMA National Track & Field Championships in Perth. \nThere are many logistical and safety reasons why this event cannot be held and we apologise\, but the safety of the athletes\, officials and volunteers has to be paramount. \nWe will instead hold a ‘Postal’ Pole Vault – information will be sent out to all state and territory associations and information will be available on the AMA website. \nThe dates for the Postal event will be between February 1\, 2027 and April 18\, 2027. Athletes can enter via the AMA website on the EML Sports portal once it is set up. \nNo entry fee\, but we will only be accepting one result per athlete. \nIn the time available\, an athlete can compete as often as they like\, but the final result will be what you send through first. The event must be run as an individual event (not as part of a combined event Decathlon) under standard WA and WMA rules and results must be available on the appropriate website. \nThe medal winners for each age group will be announced and awarded at the nationals in Perth. \nEnquiries regarding the postal event can be sent to: jaynehardy@australianmastersathletics.org.au
