DESCRIPTION:The final summer competition at SA Athletics Stadium will have a Modified Program (scratch): \nTrack5.50pm 600mW\, 6.00pm 60m\, 6.15pm 600m\, 6.25pm 300m\, 6.35pm Mile run/walk. \nField5.50pm Hammer\, 6.10pm Long Jump. \nSummer Presentation Night\nFollowing competition the Presentation Night will be held in the Function Room inside the main building of SA Athletics Stadium. \nPlease bring a plate to share – soft drinks will be provided by SAMA. \nAt the presentation night certificates will be presented to all members who have participated in the State Age Group Championships that were held throughout the 2025/26 summer season. These will show the performance and placings achieved for all events completed. State Record certificates will also be available. \nThe contribution of our non-competing volunteers will be also recognised at the presentation night. \nThe 2025/26 SAMA Athletics Awards will be presented at the SAMA Awards Dinner to be held after the AGM on Saturday 20 June (click here for details). \n \nRefreshments at the Summer Presentation\nPlease bring a plate to share. Unlike normal competition\, for a Championship\, if you are disqualified from the Race walk you will not be recorded as a Club walker (to be fair to the Club walkers entrants). \nJumpers & Throwers \nNo competitor will be allowed to enter the competition after the commencement of the fourth round. Competitors who need to leave during an event may compete out of turn for that round. On return athletes may only continue at the round in progress (and may do so even if their normal position in the round has passed). \n \nState Masters Athletics Championships – General Information\nNo charge for the Hurdles\, T&F Pentathlons or Steeplechase – just the normal stadium entry fee.\nThrows Pentathlon and 10km Track Walks and 10km Track Run (1st March)\, Main T&F (25th March and 1st April). DESCRIPTION:FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS\nFriday Night Lights is a high-energy\, community-driven athletics showcase designed to activate the stadium precinct on the eve of the Adelaide Invitational. It blends elite athlete engagement\, family-friendly entertainment\, running participation\, and club/school involvement to create an accessible\, festival-style experience that brings the broader running community closer to the sport. \nDATE: Friday 13 March 2026 \nTIME: 6:00pm to 9.00pm \nLOCATION: SA Athletics Stadium\, Mile End \nSee the ASA Website for more details\, including the proposed timetable. \nRun with the Stars\nThe Australian men’s and women’s 4x100m relay teams will compete against open teams selected from nominations. DESCRIPTION:South Australian Masters Athletics has again been invited by the South Australian Athletic League to stage a distance handicapped 800m on Saturday 27 December 2025 as part of the Supreme Quilts Bay Sheffield Carnival at Colley Reserve\, Glenelg\, which runs from 27-28 December 2022. \nThe Exurbia SA Masters 800m handicap race will again feature on the Saturday at 7.00pm. The presentations will follow the race. \nFellow members\, family and friends are encouraged to come and watch and to cheer on the runners\, and to mix and mingle with the stars of the track before and after the race. Look for the colourful SAMA marquee located at the northern end of the Reserve\, on its eastern (Colley Terrace) side. \nThis SAMA event is coordinated by Viddy Jermacans\, and this year will be distance-handicapped by a panel of three. \nParticipation is restricted to financial members of SA Masters Athletics. Racing colours will be provided to runners prior to the race. SUMMARY:2025 City-Bay Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:The City-Bay Fun Run is on again in its 51st Year!\nThe 2025 City-Bay Fun Run will take place on Sunday 21 September in Adelaide\, South Australia. \n3km\, 6km\, 12km and Half-Marathon options (various start points). The City-Bay event finish line is on Colley Terrace\, Glenelg. For full information visit the City-Bay website. \nRegistration is open at City-Bay Fun Run Registration. Regular Entry registrations close 31 August 2025 (Late Entry price then applies).  \nVOLUNTEERS NEEDED\nThe City-Bay Fun Run is currently seeking volunteers to help with general administration and various vital support roles during this event. \nThere are roles available in general administration\, such as helping to send out race bibs in the post to participants prior to the event. Additionally\, volunteer opportunities are available during the bib collection process on September 18th\, 19th\, and 20th. \nOn race day\, volunteers will be needed across various locations along the route to support runners and participants. Whether it’s cheering on the racers\, offering water stations\, or helping with other tasks\, your presence will make a huge difference. \nIn past years SAMA has participated in the provision of volunteers to support the City-Bay event and has been financially rewarded for doing so.
