ASA State Track and Field Championships
The 2023/24 State Athletics Championships was scheduled to be held on March 9-11 (Adelaide Cup long weekend) at the SA Athletics Stadium.
Due to the high temperatures forecast across the three days of State Champs competition with the most extreme being Saturday, the decision has been made to postpone Saturday’s competition in full and reschedule it to the following Saturday March 16, with the same start time of 10am. Sunday and Monday’s competition will be retained and brought forward for a commencement time of 8am each day. There will be other adjustments to event times on Sunday and Monday and you are encouraged to check the updated program on the ASA website.
Interclub 10 and the Throws Invitational, currently scheduled for Saturday March 16 will be cancelled to accommodate the State Championships. The program for the Season Finale on Thursday March 21 will have points allocated for Interclub Premiership purposes.

Entries Closed: Monday 26 February, 2024
Due to the change of day for Saturday’s State Championships program ASA is accepting late entries for this day. Please note that athlete’s can not age up if already entered.
Requests for late entries for Saturday 16th March can be submitted to operations@athleticssa.com.au. Entries will close Wednesday 13 March at midnight.
Nominations for nationals have been extended to Wednesday 20th of March.
AGE CATEGORIES:
For state championship events, your age category is determined by your age as at December 31st 2024.
